Need a Taser?

Filed under: Stun Gun information — peppereyes @ 2:22 PM

A TASER is a gun-like defensive product that delivers an electrical charge to incapacitate your attacker. The device uses compressed nitrogen gas to fire two darts with trailing electrical wires that remain attached to the device. These darts penetrate the skin of the target, and the stun device delivers an electrical charge through the wires. The projectile aspect of the TASER is what differentiates it from the typical stun gun, which has electrodes that must be placed directly on the target’s body, potentially putting the user at risk. Furthermore, the TASER delivers a continuously pulsing charge that keeps the target incapacitated as long as the trigger is pressed.

TASER’s are not considered firearms and can be legally carried in 45 states. The places with restrictions are DC ,FL and CT. The States that they are illegal for citizens to carry are HI, MA, NJ, NY, and RI.
