Did you know you could be unknowingly be giving criminals either access to you house or even letting them know when you are not at home?

When you go to get you car serviced, do you give the service attendant all of your keys, including your house key?   Did you know that it real easy for a-not-so-honest mechanic to make a copy of your key and either use it later or to give it to one of his buddies.  After all, you they may also have your home address as well. Armed with a copy of your house key and your address, imagine what they can do, even if your home.

What you should do is ONLY give them your car key. You can invest in a break-away key chain to easily separate your keys.

Do you own a GPS system?  Is it programmed with your HOME address?  Not only is this one of the most stolen items from cars, but now crooks are using this to locate your house so that they can score big. After all you are not home, and it may be awhile before your get there. You’ll be calling the police about your broken into car, waiting for them to get there, and doing a police report. While your doing that, guess what the crooks may be doing?

ALWAYS TAKE YOUR GPS with you when you exit the car, or LOCK it in your truck
